This was a good week for modeling. I learned a new technique and have explored a new design space. Overall everything has gone well as I warmed back up to blender from my summer away. I cannot wait to texture my "finished" teslapunk gun.
This was my first experiment with teslapunk style. I was happy with the result, but looking at it now it's pretty dang terrible.
These are the UV's of my second gun. This was my first time properly UV-ing a model so they aren't awesome.
This is my second edition of a Teslapunk gun. I used a screw modifier to make the Tesla coils, which yielded a much better overall look. The light bulb acting as an iron sight is another idea I am quite proud of.
This was my third rendition of a Teslapunk weapon, attempting to apply the golden ratio to the guns design. It ended up feeling ugly and unbalanced, so I scrapped it and moved on.

My latest Teslapunk gun, I decided to make a sniper rifle, which ended up feeling way more balanced, especially when I applied the golden ratio. It is still unfinished, but I am already quite happy with it.
