April 24th - Technique Studies

I have spent the last couple of months working on my drawing skills, mostly through a class at my college. These five pieces are each a study in a drawing technique.

I found Grid-based drawing particularly fun and experimented with distorting the grid to get the effect from the first image. I also thoroughly enjoyed the process of reductive drawing in charcoal, which I used in the first two studies.
There's always more to learn, but I'm feeling like I have the drawing fundamentals under my belt at last
