Ludum Dare 55 - Landscapes and Shaders

For Ludum Dare 55 I worked with a team of 6 developers to create a game in 72 hours based on the theme "summoning". I worked on environment art, creating the massive spire that the payer climbs and working to blend my 3D models with the other artist's pixel art sprites. Integrating 2D gameplay elements with 3D maps was the main challenge of the jam and I am pleased with the results. I made a pixelization shader to help match the art style. The integration is not perfect but the results as on the main menu screen do a good job of mimicking pixel art.
I made a custom skybox for the game, as well as several effects like the particles around the spire in the main menu, and the blood splatters that appear when killing enemies.
