In the last several weeks, I worked on variety of personal and game projects. I used the Spline IK constraint in blender to rig and animate the nautilus. Working with this was reasonably simple, after taking a quick look at a tutorial, I was able to experiment a bit and get the rig working, I m looking forward to working with this constraint on future projects.
I also worked on props and trees for another (non-trespasser) game. I have been working with the Sapling Addon for blender to create simple, low-poly trees. The huge leaves are not perfect, but I am experimenting with ways to keep the low vertex count provided by the large leaves, without the ugly plane faces.
My Third project in the last week was working on the cutscene for Trespasser. I finally got several of the important mechanics working, after fixing a couple of bugs that took me several days to find and fix. The cutscene is now almost ready for the final game.
