September 14th—Rocks

This week I worked on making procedural rocks in blender. I used a series of modifiers to get this effect, then baked the modifiers to get the above result. I plan to be using these to make rubble and (hopefully) stone buildings. I've run into some problems along the way, especially with the decimation, and substance painter work.

This was my first experiment with rocks. I followed a tutorial to get this result.

This was my next step working with the rock modifiers I had set up. I was testing how to make buildings for my current project.

This was my lower-poly mesh of the rock. It has about 1/20th the number of faces, and was part of my first experiment with making game-ready building meshes.

This was my first ever combination of low and hi poly meshes in substance. It has some major problems, which I will be resolving this week.
